MONDAY EVENING
STAGED READING SERIES —
NEW WORKS UNVEILED
ON OUR STAGE!

South Camden Theatre Company, a nonprofit professional theatre organization located in Camden, New Jersey will host a free staged reading series on Monday evenings this summer that feature new works by Laura Toffentti, Joseph M. Paprzycki and Kevin Kautzman.

We are excited to offer to our audience three staged readings of new American plays as submitted by playwrights from all over the country. We seek not only your attendance but also your opinion as each reading is followed by a talkback with the cast, director and writer. Please join us for one, two or all three readings as SCTC continues to bring you into the development of new work for the American stage.

  • Monday, June 24, WITHOUT A PARACHUTE, written by Laura Toffenetti and directed by Susan Paschkes
  • Monday, July 29, PERENNIALS, written by Joseph M. Paprzycki and directed by Sean Close
  • Monday, August 19, DREAM OF PERFECT SLEEP, written by Kevin Kautzman and directed by Craig Hutchings

ABOUT OUR MONDAY
STAGED READING EVENTS

Staged readings are FREE and open to the public. Audience feedback and comments will help to shape the new play into one that can "take the stage".

For those of you who may not be familiar with staged readings, they are a large part of the development of a new play. Actors perform the play with minimal rehearsal and read with "script-in-hand" so it can be heard by the audience, playwright and director for the first time as they receive feedback on the new work.

We invite you to join us for an unique experience as we allow our audience members to engage with theatre in a new way and have a part in the development of a new American play.
